Dr. Schilero is an experienced foot & ankle surgeon with over 15,000 surgical procedures performed. He completed is podiatric medical school training at Temple University in Philadelphia in 1979. Dr. Schilero graduated with a Bachelors in Science from Fordham University in New York where he played “small “ college football but also fell in love with sports medicine and orthopaedics.

Dr. Schilero completed an advanced surgical residency in foot & ankle reconstruction at the prestigious Kern Hospital for Special Surgery in Michigan. He then became a Fellow of The American College of Foot & Ankle Surgery. Dr. Schilero is Board Certified in Foot & Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Schilero maintains his advanced training with frequent continuing education conferences and was recertified in foot & ankle surgery in 1992 and again in 2003. He takes your foot & ankle problems very seriously and is constantly at surgical meetings both learning and teaching.

Just in the past year, Dr. Schilero has formally lectured at the state meetings for foot & ankle surgery in Michigan, New York, Virginia, Florida and Texas. He will deliver the latest foot surgical techniques to the largest congregation of foot surgeons in the United States in July of 2010 in Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Schilero is the former Chief of Podiatric Surgery at Good Samaritan and St. Mary’s Hospital in West Palm Beach. He is also an original founder and former President of Northpoint Surgery & Laser Center; the most successful multispecialty, outpatient surgery center in the community.

Dr. Schilero is trained and experienced in the latest techniques including Laser Surgery, Ankle Arthroscopy, Topaz, Advanced Reconstruction of Foot & Ankle Trauma, Ankle Joint Replacement and Great Toe Joint Replacements. Dr. Schilero has trained over 100 surgeons as a hospital residency instructor in Michigan and as an instructor in surgery at the University of Miami Veterans Hospital. He consults for the Florida Marlins and many professional well known athletes that make South Florida their home.
